pmsumner at 01:23am on 20/10/2001OK, I know it's not a weekend but it is my version of a weekend. I went to Bolton on Wednesday - drove down and was there by 5pm, plenty of time to pick up Andrew and Caroline - went back to theirs where we were promptly engaged in a power cut :-) D'oh! I was tired, so prolly held up to being the fountain of non-conversation I can be.
Went to Manchester proper on Thursday day, shocked to see what they're doing to the place - bits being ripped up, new bits being built. Lots of odd stuff, but I still wanna go back...
Thursday night - The Strawbury Duck. Yummy food at a lovely pub in Entwistle - middle of nowhere. The train station leads straight onto the pub, and I don't think there's anything else in the village! ;) 10oz Steak, starter and pudding for a tenner? Not complaining in the _slightest_!!
Friday, I drove to Liverpool - partly in the hope I could find Rachel, also in the hope I could see some of the city. Nice place indeed. Must investigate more. Parking's not fun though :) After a bit of a hee-haw Rach and I found one another, and I spent a good few hours at her place. Had lots of fun. More to come in locked entry, no doubt :)
Met briefly with Bec and Casee - always nice to see them once in a while, but I felt like I was intruding slightly and left to drive home. Nice weekend, relaxing. (And YES, I know it's not the damn weekend to most of you.)
