I just felt uncomfortable in the chair, from the moment I sat down until the moment I got up, it just felt wrong. I needed to get out of the place. I can't explain better than that. I was jumpy - whenever she came anywhere near me or touched me and I wasn't expecting it I jumped. This is just not like me. I use that barber's all the time, and she's been there forever. I really don't know what was going through my head.
The relief when I could get up and walk out was fabulous. I must have appeared like an utter freak to her, especially when virtually running out the door after paying.
