Thanks to the Nike adverts, which use a remix of the Elvis Song "Little Less Conversation", I've decided today to go on an Elvis downloading spree. Feel free to call me a sad git now.

I'm very 'blah' today. I wish I could infuse some enthusiasm into myself. I've spent a fair whack of time on my pet project today, purely because I have nothing else to do. I've made 4 phone calls to various agencies after various jobs I've seen advertised in this weeks' Scottish Recruitment (Software Engineer through to Call Centre Agent) and not got a single response yet (even an acknowledgement that I called), I've deposited £20 in the bank that my dad gave me to renew my railcard, I've organised to delay my loan payment by 2 weeks, and well.... that's about it. Oh yeah - I spent nearly an hour drooling over the books in Waterstones and Borders.

*sighs* I wanna be able to buy the amount of books I used to. I've been drooling over Perl/CGI and MFC books lately. Problem is they tend to cost the same in GBP (Sterling) as they do in USD($) - anywhere from £25 up. My dad bought the "Douglas Adams" book that's just out - basically the stuff he was working on when he died, and a few short stories (one very good explanation of how Ford Prefect came to be). Could hold limited interest for me.

(How many times did you see 'I' in that entry? You'd almost believe I was being selfish *g*)

Damnit, just got disconnected - sodding 2hr cut off. I was only going to post this and then go to bed! *smiles*
