pmsumner at 10:20pm on 23/05/2002So - I am off to the sunny land of Manchester this weekend to say hello to Caroline and see some others who I haven't seen for an age. I can't wait. Gonna drive down, see how well my baby performs on a serious stretch of Motorway. Shouldn't cost much more than a last minute train ticket either.
I get paid tommorrow too, yay. Will be interesting to see just how much we do get... most of us worked it out to around £500 (3 weeks instead of 4, and quite likely to be on basic rate tax code for this period). I don't care - it'll still be a huge injection of cash that I've yearned after for so long.
I've gotten hold of an old 5 CD autochanger for the car too. Superb. It's one that my folks bought ages back and lent to a friend. Since that, they've both changed cars and both have inbuilt CD players, so they're giving it to me. You have no idea how happy this makes me, as having to listen to &@@&$* Sara Cox once more in the morning is going to tip me right over the edge. Radio 4 is much too involved for me at that time of day. Now the tricky bit is going to be actually mounting the damn CD player in the boot, and running the cables through. Good job I like DIY, eh?
I need my bed. Desperately. Long live the weekend.
(And BTW - I apologise for the lack of comment responding - I'm just not... I just can't bring myself to start... soon!)
