I went out for dinner with M. and Ian tonight... I can't understand those two - I can't see a single reason why they stay together, apart from the fact that they have a mortgage and a life. It seems they're both so settled in their lives that a change to the routine is just too much effort for them.
It's things like - when M. and Ian are together - and M. is trying to do something, she'll get all stressed about it then start shouting at Ian because of it. Ian just doesn't seem to notice. The pair of them just float along, both of them happy to be unhappy. It pains me to see them that way, but what can you say? Really?
