Really tempting though it is to watch Das Boot with the German sound and English subtitles, I have resisted so far. Mainly because whilst I have to watch on the PC, I only have a small monitor and it's bad enough already :) I've listened to small snippets here and there, and it just sounds so much better than the dubbed stuff, don't ask me why.

I was planning on going to Edinburgh or Stirling today, it's 12:30pm and all I've done is spod, and be told by Cellnet's people that their insurance won't cover my phone. Unsure what to do now - as if I'd have known, I would have taken insurance through TMob. It is because of Cellnet's (Rep's) faulty advice I didn't take out insurance. Anyone think I have a good claim to make?

1. Where are you right now?
Sat at my computer? I'm just starting real life in my job, after having been there 2 months "in training". Looking forward to it.

2. What have you lost recently?
My Ericsson T68 :(

3. What was the first CD you ever purchased? Does that embarrass you now?
I'm unsure, it could be a variety of things. I think it might be PJ&Duncan - Let's Get Ready to Rhumble.... Or Warren G - Regulators (which seems to have gone missing somewhere, feh). Guess which one I would, and which one I wouldn't be embarrased about buying?

4. What is your favorite kind of writing pen?
I do like a fountain pen, but because I write like a left-hander with my right hand (hand curled around the top, left-handers tend to do this with posh pens to prevent smudging and I used to be left-handed) I tend to smudge the ink quite badly.

5. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Don't have a favourite. As long as it is creamy and icy, it's good for me.

I am the proud owner of an easyMoney.com credit card. Not half bad introductory rate on Balance transfers, which is the main reason I wanted it. *growls at the easymoney password policy - 8 characters long indeed*. I really dislike being forced to change "my password", I want to choose it, at my risk, to be shorter than 8 characters - yet you won't let me you bastards.

I like the idea though, of a credit card that I can choose the rate on - by leaving off all those shitty benefits I would never use anyhow. Cashback rewards? When I mostly use my card for cash whilst abroad and emergencies, how can I justify paying 3% more for that? I'll happily pay a £20 a year fee for the service when it'll save me well over that in interest payments!

So after I see the balance transfer has gone through, I shall be destroying the piece of evil that was my Barclaycard. My first credit card *sniffles* Maybe I should keep it, for posterity? :)

Current... (shamelessly nicked from [livejournal.com profile] scottishdiva, though most protected entries)

wallet/purse: New one I bought at work the other day. Leather, shiney, simple (got lots of slots for cards and a place for notes. That's it.
hairbrush: Hairbrush? These devices exist?
toothbrush: Used to have a cool vibrating one, now back to basic one, godknows what brand it is
jewelry worn daily: None whatsoever.
socks: Right now? Ancient and tatty ones that fall down inside my boots, really annoying
pillow cover: I don't know, you expect me to know this?
blanket: It's got buttons on it that are really annoying...
coffee cup: Whichever one is clean and at the front of the cupboard :)
sunglasses: None
underwear: *checks* Checked boxers from M&S.
shoes: Boots from Makro - cheap, comfy and lastuing better than most shoes on my feet
nail polish: You what? Look at me, you think I wear nail polish?
handbag/bag: Rucksack, small, holds my headset and my notepads and my Gameboy.
keychain: Nothing exciting - just the remote control thingie for the alarm on the car.
favourite top: The Maine t-shirt my dad got free and gave to me. Really nice!
favourite pants: Whatever I happen to find.
perfume: None, don't do smells.
cd in stereo right now: Well, I don't actually think I have a CD in the radio right now, but in the car I have:
  • Finley Quaye - Maverick a Strike
  • Dave Matthews Band - Remember Two Things
  • The Orb - Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld (Disc 2)
  • They Might Be Giants - Severe Tire Damage
  • A - Hi Fi Serious
and one more that I don't seem to be able to remember, have to go tot he car and get the piece of paper and can't be arsed.

I'm considering it. I'm considering going to the Psion shop and buying one. Now. Someone please take my credit cards away from me? Please? If it's not going to be the Wavefinder, it's only going to be something in the 'In car' section instead, buying something I so dearly dearly want, but so badly can't afford.

I wanna be in that £20K position I had so close, I think I still have the contract somewhere. *sulks*

(Just on a side note, see what spending 3 days on my own has done to me? Turned me into a posting fiend...)

It's amazing how much you can miss just the sound of someone's voice ;-) I've got a big cheesy grin on my face now.

On the same lines as missing voices, I was thinking the other day about something else. It was Kate's birthday on the 3rd July. Unsure of whether I should have even thought about doing anything, considering how long it's been since we've even talked, let alone talked properly. Did find myself very close to calling last night - mainly because it was horribly late and I didn't think anyone else whose number I had would either be awake or in.

*shrugs* It's old news. Hard to say it, isn't it? Guess if there was even the faintest glimmer of something else then I might feel differently, but there's not, and never really has been. Not that I care that much - I'm not someone who has a need to be wanted - I dont feel 'half a man' if I don't have a partner. I know people that would go mad if they found that they were single for as long as I have been now - but I'm happy when I have my friends, some of who I love very much. The only problem now, is persuading them all to move to Glasgow, and it's not working...

Wonder if I could persuade them to come here on the basis that the living is cheaper? *looks at C. intently* :)

(Oh, and I've not got anywhere with the Glass Palace - not that I wasn't enjoying it, I've just needed something light, and have switched to reading "They Came from SW19" yet again - because it's easy reading and I can't be dealing with concentrating on anything atm. Speaking of which, I really need to find our copy of the Wimbledon Poisoner again.)
