Must....

o Take phone/camera to shop (phone isn't recognising camera any more)
o Check if car can be MOT'd and check for insurance deals
o Give the guys in the postroom at work my EmployeeCall form
o Call NTL to organise cable installation
o Check if oneTel will give me even cheaper phone calls to the USA, and if so, get rid of BT
o if NTL do come, cancel Chalkface

I think that's all....

Two down, some to go. NTL installing cable on 15th Jan. Yeah I know, it's ages off. Thing is that the earliest date was the 8th, then I am off in Manchester from 10th -> 12th/13th, then working various days inbetween. Ya, boo, that sucks.

OneTel do 3p/min to the US, so signed up with them. Indirect Acces Provider, so just have to dial 1877 before calls to the States. Yahooo.

As soon as I am dressed and clean and nice smelling, I shall go to town and see what I can do about my phone and car.

Number 2 is kind of a cheat, because I haven't actually got it MOT tested yet, but I took it to the garage and they will charge me £30 for it when they open tomorrow. Also do a "while you wait" service, which is a good thing - can take it either before I go to work or during breakfast break.

Took phone to shop where they "rebooted" (I hate that term - essentially means taking battery out and resetting phone software) and it then started working again. *grumbles* I was hoping to get a new one *smiles* This means I can take pics again, yay!

Tomorrow? hand in EmployeeCall form and give 30 days notice for Chalkface.

I was really annoyed by our local "24 Hour" Tesco today. I went along there just after 4pm, thinking "I need some bits and pieces", only to find that it was closed! Due to the Scottish Bank Holiday, grr! It always annoys me that we are essentially screwed over for a week while everything closes down. If we have to be open, why isn't everything else? So I went to Safeway instead. Ha. *pfffffft*

I just had nearly £50 swiped from my account that I was not expecting to go.

The British Computer Society took it by d/d - I had no sodding idea. No idea at all. This has now fucked up all that careful bedgeting I did to make sure I could pay everything else without anything bouncing. Guess what? yet another loan payment, up the Swannee. My car insurance? Bounced to buggery. And another £30 taken from my account for the privelege of this.

Ranting and raving - don't even bother - please )

What am I supposed to do if people don't write to me before taking money - they take it once a year for God's sake, why is one going to remember and budget for that? I'll freely admit I forgot about the TV License direct debit but that wouldn't have screwed it in quite as big a fashion.

I can't remember if I wrote about this? My folks have said they're willing to pay for my car insurance for a year, as they think that the car's a good thing, and don't want to see me selling it. That'll save me a hell a lot of hassle.

I need to go to bed but I know that if I were to dream of going to bed I wouldn't sleep. I know it as well as I know that up is up and down is down.

Maybe I'll just watch Beverly Hills Cop II instead. s'more amusing than bed, which isn't saying much.
