Ug. Went to work. First time I have been up before 10am in about 2 weeks. Lots of changes which I was thankfully caught up with, due to coming in on o/t for a couple of days last week. The main thing that annoys me? When customer comes through now, we are supposed to say "Hi you're through to name at Customer Services, I believe you have a ...xxx..... query?", where "xxx" is indicated by the route the customer chose to come through the automated service.
It doesn't work. How many of you just choose any possible option to get through to a human? I now I did before I started working on the other side. It's embarassing for us, it's embarassing for them. And we now no longer have to "offer further assistance" ("Is there anything else.... ?") which makes closing calls really tough, because well - what else can you say that doesn't make it sound like you want to get rid of them?
Went out after work as it's Nicole's b/day. Only went for one drink, and drank that very fast. Went to the Yard which was busy, busy, loud and busy. Didn't enjoy it much, but this wasn't helped by the fact that out of everyone there in our group? Token male? Me? Didn't I just enjoy that. Especially when it's too loud to chat and too busy to sit down. Left fairly sharpish.
I picked up a brochure for a flat just down the road from me the other day. Asking price is £29,500 - looks like a nice wee flat. Bigger than mine - attic flat. Has a bigger kitchen and central heating (*gasp!*). Would be a right pain to move there though, it's only a block down! Could you imagine lugging a whole load of stuff down one set of stairs, down a block, then up 3 flights? Too much like hard work :) I'm really just after prices though, as much as I don't want to end up "stuck" here - I think I may as well try to be "stuck" somewhere as comfortably as possible, no?
Bed.
Must.... fix.... sleeping.....
