After my last entry and a lot of thinking and wondering, I've decided I'm going to re-apply for a position at NATS (National Air Traffic Services - http://www.nats.co.uk/). Not sure what I'm going to go for just yet, there are a number of positions. The most obvious one is an ATC (or ATCO as they're called on the website) - but I might reapply for the graduate Software Engineer thingie I was looking at previously.

Alternatively still, I may just put in a speculative application and see what they offer!

Caroline mentioned reapplying for Belgacom when she was here. I don't know. I know they liked me, but I think even thinking about that right now might not be the best move. After all, it's bad enough being on the same landmass as people, never mind being across the sea!

So yes. NATS, here we come. 18mths of training if successful as an ATC - eeeek! As a random sidenote, [livejournal.com profile] ruthytoothy - the training's in Bournmouth (sp?), isn't that where you're buying your wee thingie so you can go visit people? *plots and schemes* Yes I know I know I know, how can you plot and scheme when you don't have any definite plans?

I'm going to keep my eyes and ears very close to the ground at the moment for other things too, just because I'm starting to get totally fed up with what I'm doing. The promised career progression has failed to materialise, and that's the only reason I've stuck with it so long. Oh, and my inherent laziness :)

Listening to fab music, reading great books and watching yet another "100 Blankiest Blanks" (tonight is the 100 Greatest Film Stars, last night was Adverts) on TV. Reading through various websites and examining all my past job prospects, wondering if any of them would take me on now.

Also considering how much money I have. I forgot that I'd changed the d/d due date for my car insurance when I first moved in here, and had effectively put myself a month ahead. This means that this month I have no money to pay for insurance :) Another £90 I wasn't expecting to have. Next month is going to be heavenly. I'll have to get to the bank and demand they reduce my o/d limit the second that my pay clears.

So, anything I need to do? I don't think so. I'm caught up with almost everything. Bills all paid, car taxed and insured for next year. Plant watered, flat hoovered. Washing in the dryer. Cake eaten (eek, that's all I have eaten all day other than a cookie and a sausage sandwich) and whilst the plates are not yet washed, they are stacked up and ready to be washed.

Nothing special to do at work tomorrow, either. Just a regular day with no call backs, nothing that I need to remember, or if there is, I'll be reminded when I log in. Looks like a nice time to catch up on the books, news and stuff on the intranet.

Oh, I know. Remind me to post my letter. And the wedding RSVP thingie. Else I WILL forget.
OK?

I was looking through my history in Logjam just then, and noticed how it gives you stats to show what percentage of posts that you have made are either private, FO and public. I was suitably impressed to see that out of my last 200 posts, 97% were public. And the remaining 3% were things that I can understand being FO because they contained either personal details (Address/Phone number) or because of some other good reason :)

Can you tell I am bored?
I have to go to work tomorrow.
I should go sleep now.
