I watched the remainder of Heathers tonight, got it from WebFlix (.co.uk) the other day and started to watch it. It's a great film, both Winona Ryder and Christian Slater put in some great acting in their respective roles. I love Christian's accent in that, can anyone tell me where's it from?

I'm very "blahhhhh" tonight. No reason, just blah. Hacked off at some things, happy at others. Like the fact that I have a cheque for £114 sat in front of me yet I can't deposit it until Wednesday. Crappy bank opening hours. I've never quite understood why the majority of banks don't open weekends, or at least Saturdays. Not like it's the most useful day of the week for most average Joe Bloggs consumer bankers. Even if it were just a cashier only service, and no personal bankers / account managers. Anything.

I've set myself a challenge. Over the weekend I am going to go to the local gym and see whether I can sign up. I dislike the whole getting into 12 month commitment things - especially when it's the local area only - but if it comes to it, I'll do it. I need exercise, damnit. And it'll give me something else to do other than play the Playstation all night and day :) I am such a student.

I have a very weird selection of MP3s at the moment, thanks to my random downloading sprees. Have been searching for words like "remix" and "white label" and "rare" on GnuTella just to see what comes up, and have found some great stuff, like this, and some utter shite. Quite glad, 'cuz now I know some bands to avoid in future *G*

Must use Gaim more often.

Or the severe lack of it.

I have my immersion heater on a timer, comes on at about 1am for a half-hour, then 3am and then a bit later (6am or something) to take advantage of the white metre rates (off-peak electricity for water and / or heating - I hate storage heaters). I forgot the other day that I turned it off as I was going to be away overnight, and then forgot to turn it back on when I got back. I wondered when I got in the bath last night why the water was a bit lukewarm.

I just put on a load of washing, was about to do the washing up too but also found out how hard is it to do that with cold water! :) Maybe it's time to hoover then. I don't think there's anything else I need to do today. Best finish of Feet of Clay in the City Watch Trilogy so that I can take this book back to the Library, only a month late. Oops.

"You say that everything sounds the same, then you go buy them" - can you tell I'm listening to the Streets? :) Blasting it loud. Not singing along, only because it's actually quite hard to sing to this. Next I may put on the Avalanches, 'cuz I haven't listened to that in AGES!

Speaking of music, I went looking for my database of CDs the other day so that I could update it with my more recent purchases, only to remember that dagnabbit I lost my entire Windows partition thanks to a careless keystroke in Grub's installation. DAMN! I spent hours doing that, I'm now going to have to spend hours doing it again. *groans* Guess it gives me something to do, eh?
