That's the date my bank account transfers from a graduate account to a fully-fledged grown-up-person's account. That's also when the real charges come into play. Instead of them playing nice and occasionally letting me slip over my o/d limit without charge, they will charge £20 a time, every time it goes over.

Not that this will be happening any more. What with my new cautious outlook and bank account balance which is even now astounding me. Only 2 more bills to go out and I've still got loads of money left! Huzzah!

*looks around*

More beer. Too much Sam Adams is a good thing. Reminds me of my time in New York, sadly enough. Not my time in Boston.......

I have whisky.
About a 1/3 bottle.
Considering how much of C's I went through on Sat night, I'm going to destroy this

Hmm. Beer. Whisky. No ice cream. no more pizza. I'll get by.

This is why I should hide my wallet from myself.
To paraphrase - Just because it feel good, who cares?

Glengoyne is good.
I'm supposed to be going out tomorrow. I don't know if I want to, but I really should do.
I need new shoes.
Watching Gross Point Blank, which I never fail to enjoy. Ever. It's just sooooo good.
Never realised that "The Killing Moon" was on this soundtrack.
Might go and buy Donnie tomorrow
Uhhhhh

I give in, might pull an all-nighter, just for the hell of it. Why not? Watch Toy Story, Stigmata, Hannibal, Hackers, Chasing Amy and Dogma. makes for a good night. Eh?
Mood:: 'disappointed' disappointed

<Withnail>I demand to have some booze!</Withnail>

This is the only problem with drinking half-decent whisky, it's too civil to get drunk on without drinking lots and lots and lots. This is why I drink beer, you can drink lots of it and nobody bats an eyelid - including myself. But when you go through lots of spirits, it all suddenly changes.

Music has changed to: "India Arie - Acoustic Soul - Wonderful" - great voice.

Tomorrow, I must buy:
  • A network card
  • A kilt hire (yes, not technically "buy")
  • CDs
  • DVDs
  • DVD-Rs to experiment with
  • Another bottle of bru
Right now, I have:
  • A sausage roll
  • A pineapple doughnut
  • A crate of diet-bru in the car, which I still haven't moved!
I also have a stack of emails, hurrah.

Well, out of a team of 10, 4 of us went out today. Whoohoo.

We were going to go Ice Skating, but the rink was closed. So we went bowling instead. I won, which I don't think has ever happened, but I did win with a score of 105 in the first game, and then 89 in the second :)

Then to the bar, for a game of pool or two, then for food, then home. Very nice. In all, made me glad I went after all, no matter how much I didn't want to earlier.

Feels like it's been ages since I was away now, but it's been less than a week. When you're enjoying yourself, and when you have something to look forward to, it's surprising what a difference it can make.

For no other reason than I can!

Actually, I did have a reason for this. *rattles brain* Anyone got a clue? It came to me while I was in the bath. It was clean. As am I. Even my knees.

I can't remember. Darnit. Darn my memory. Instead, I shall wittle and prattle on about Picture Book, Simply Red's first album. A little rough round the edges in places, but with gems such as Holding Back the Years, Sad old Red and Heaven which draw you in and grab you, you can ignore the edges.

Lots of it is down to Stewart Levine, who has produced (to my knowledge) 4 of Simply's albums, and many many other great sounding recordings. But the majority is down to Mick Hucknall's voice, which is astounding - even if he is occasionally an annoying git.

This is going to really annoy me now. I know I had a subject I wanted to talk about.

Can you tell I am bored? I have nobody to chat to! :)
