An evening of surprises, and evening of revelations, and an evening full of pleasure.

Yeah.

Oh, I forgot to mention beer, and whisky. And driving. And views. And amazing sights. And narrow roads. And baseball. And the post office. And pringles. And the best omlette ever, including bacon, baby sweetcorn, mangetout, eggs (duhh), mushrooms and peppers. And ice cream. And fresh air and sun. And a chilly evening with no covers as they're in the bedroom and I want to leave the windows open because it's so nice outside tonight, if a little cold.

This is my day, in a nutshell.
*smiles broadly*
I'm too damn happy these days. Can someone do something to make me miserable like I was previously? I was going to say last year, but I seemed remarkably chipper then ;)

I just got around to updating my MS Money file, about 3-4 weeks worth of transactions. Thought I'd trot out a few stats :)

Over the last 3 months, my average petrol expenditure has been about £80/month. This month it's skyrocketed! £150! Erk! I mean, it doesn't bother me in the slightest because I have been vaguely rich of late, it just surprised me :)

Hmm.
I have one transaction that I don't remember. 9th June, £54.95, to "S T G" by connect card. Online banking doesn't give me any more information and my journal doesn't show me making any purchases on or around that day.

Ahhhh, found it. Moss Bross, kilt hire. See, keeping a journal is useful for lots of stuff! Why couldn't they call themselves something sensible instead of "S T G"?!

I'm the guy with the guts for being rude...

Or not, as it may be :)

Got the guts to be crude, and quite possibly lewd. But not flat out rude.

Hmm, last night I made curry and was planning on eating that until I got sucked into the evil world of omlettes. It was very very good. Mind you, the curry was even better. I used a shedload of that thai curry powder in it and didn't taste as curryish as I expected. Have to use more next time, muhahah.

When I was out shopping the other day I said to myself "ooo, I don't have any beans or tomatoes left, let's get a can or two". I got home tonight only to look in the _other_ cupboard to find 6 cans of each. Oops. Looks like I need to do some more cooking soon, eh?

Actually it's really nice now, I've gotten the bug back, hurrah. Takeouts and store bought food that you put in the oven for half an hour can only keep you going for so long. All I need to get back now is the reading bug, which has been sadly lacking for a long time.

Damnit I'm hot! It's so sticky in here and I have all the windows open. Must drink more beer to cool down :)

*gives off happy vibes*

I go back to work tomorrow for a day, pants. I wish I coulda taken it off. No availability. At least it's a fairly gentle introduction back, 0940 to 2000. I'm back at work for 2 weeks or so, then off again for 2 weeks, during which time I am actually going to do stuff. Planning a trip to the south.

There's some potential good news, maybe no so I'm not holding my breath too heard. Not that it matters too much anyhow, because I don't mind doing hotels, and in some circumstances it works out better!

I've become almost besotted with the local landscape. I'm amazed that anyone can live here and not notice it. Went driving last night along some of the local backroads at about 9pm. It was almost perfect. Just missing something... and I'm not sure I know exactly what.

Oh, and apparently I forgot to pay a council tax bill about 2 months ago, and they only just got round to writing to me now to inform me. Nice. Inverclyde Council are so damned slow with this stuff! Paid up now, but I seem to have spent a fortune this month on stuff. About £200 in cash withdrawals alone, admittedly over £100 of that was paying people stuff that I'd been meaning to pay for ages, doing "special stuff" and meals and things.

Ahhhh *sigh*
I Feel I should have so much more to write, but I can't, for some reason my brain doesn't want to splurge. I was poking through my calendar and last month I wrote stupid amounts.

Do I sit and watch The Mothman Prophecies now, and actually watch it, rather than have it on in the background, or do I continue to sit and play Placebo and horrible volumes, while sipping on vodka and orange juice?

Either way, vodka will be involved.
This is a tough question.

Then again, Frasier is on at 2130 on Paramount... I could always watch Frasier, then the Mothman Prophecies and THEN listen to Placebo? Yes. I like that idea. And I can plug in my headphones and listen to it as loud as I like and try not to be so riproaringly drunk I'll be singing along, even though it it Thursday night :)

I like vodka and orange :)
