I was teased this morning by SMS, bah.

During my next holiday time (sometime at the end of July) I'm heading off to sunnier climes, warmer parts of the world. OK, that essentially means England, but in the UK, England is significantly (almost always 2 or 3, sometimes 5-10 degrees) warmer than Scotland, pretty much all year round.

Looking out the window, it's a very nice day today, and may head out for a walk around Gourock, along the waterfront, later on. Will wait for a phone call from afar, first of all. Been up for way too long, spent a gazillion hours watching BBC News 24 and CD:UK.

Blargh.

I just had the biggest evar cake and custard binge. Yummy.

I successfully tweaked my car's CD player, so it now appears slightly less affected by bumps. I upgraded GCC from a prerelease 3.3 to a release 3.3 version, which now compiles kernels! Hurrah! Been trying to make ACPI work on the laptop but it's refusing. The stock kernel appears to have it compiled in but running acpid has no effect when I close the lid or press the power button. May need help!

Drove to Gourock and it was verrrrrry pretty to walk along the river-front. Having some company whilst ambling along there would make it perfect. Any takers?

I've also been extremely domestic, and cleaned the living room right out. All the old boxes of stuff have been consolidated and the windowsill polished and dusted, the carpet hoovered, the bathroom cleaned... washed up again but damnit I've created a mess again just by doing cheese-on-toast and cake and custard. Somehow.

Planning my escape route for the 12th/13th July. It's the next weekend I have off and need to do something darnit! It's time to go a-travelling!

Spodding from the bathroom while in the bath, just to make sure I don't miss an LJ update that might be important, ya know ;) I *knew* that buying 10mtrs of UTP cable was sensible.

I have a distinct craving for a hug so squidgy it'd leave me skinny and the other parties flat a pancakes :)
*gives a little sigh, and considers bed, bed at 11pm? Sad, especially as I don't have work until 1140 tomorrow.
