I've got two days off work, then the weekend, then another week of long long training, meaning 9 to 5 (in theory - in practice more 10-4 *G*). This leads to a good week. Maybe a spot boring...

I've arranged two Fridays off work in September. 12th and 19th. Anyone wanna meet up in Manchester? Caroline and I are planning on heading for coffee in the afternoon of the 12th and skyving for coffee and sticky buns (*hmmmmmmmmm buns*). Perhaps this could become a group event later on, after everyone's finished work :) Maybe cocktails could be had. Whaddaya think? *G*

Today... today has been very distracted. I've been finding it quite tricky to keep my mind on anything. Not helped by the room's air conditioning going on the fritz and pouring hot air into the room all day. By the end of the day I think everyone felt like a potted lobster. Made doing presentations quite difficult. I think I talked for about 40minutes on the most boring subjects in the world.

I was a bad boy. I bought beer. Guinness, so it technically doesn't count as beer ;) I'm drinking it ice cold out of a frosty glass right now. It's heavenly. It's my reward for not having gone crazy, despite various attempts by certain people to make me go utterly bonkers and lose my mind totally.

I've been really good today. I've cooked, I've tidied, I've done two loads of laundry and washed up that pile that was slowly taking over my kitchen. And I've been really good - very sensible on the food side. Now if I can carry this on for the next few months/years :)

Yup...
Indeed...

I found this, on our (T-Mobile's) website.

This, on T-Mobile.co.uk.

PRINCE OF PERSIA!!! For the Nokia 7650! You can play it on the T-Mobile website :) You need Java, but wow! I've spent a few hours in breaks and things playing that, it's such FUN! I forgot all about that game, used to have it on my dad's first PC :)

I am so going to buy that. £2 is worth it. Damn, except that the download isn't working! *grumbles* Have written email to the t-zones people. Let's see what comes of this.

It's been a while since I seriously complained about money, here's a minor gripe. And it's about myself.

I checked GNUCash today, the "Expenses:Groceries" account (double entry accounting, hmmm). In around 22 days, I have spent over £100 at Safeway and Tesco. I don't understand how. I thought I'd been quite sensible this past month. I'm going to have to start making lists before I go shopping and sticking to them, I think!

It seems to have become awfully hot again. Is this just my place or is it everywhere? *swelters*
