ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN POUNDS!!
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!
This is way higher than I ever expected this camera to go. Consider this - I paid approx £166 for it back in Summer '98 or '99, so 4 or 5 years later why on earth is someone paying nearly retail price for it?
I'm very happy today.
I've achieved lots. I've looked for van-hire, failed miserably because every one I looked at refused to rent to me because I am under 25. I went to my parents and dropped off a whole load of stuff I borrowed from them (books and related stuff), and chatted with my mum.
She's been icky for a while, poor lass. She looks quite rough. Hope she's gonna be OK. Mum was an absolute star and without prompting gave me a loan of £200 (I will be paying this back when I get paid at the end of the month), which I took to the bank, deposited it and got a banker's draught/cashier's cheque for an obscene amount of money. I am considering taking a picture of it and framing it. Was surprised to see they charge £10 for this, but I'm much happier to spend £10 on that and be safe, rather than spend extra on recorded delivery and still have a chance of it vanishing.
Mum also agreed that the parents will rent a van, and drive it down and back, 'cuz there's no sensible way to do it with the car as well. If money's not a problem then, I shall be sure to pay that too.
On the way back from Glasgow I picked up my mail, only to find a letter from Glenn's (Washing Machine rental). I'd had one about a week ago saying that if I wanted to cancel I needed to contact that accounts dept. I didn't bother because I'd decided to take it with me, but they STILL arranged to cancel my agrement and pick up the damn thing. I don't get it? Gave them a bell and sorted that out.
Sorted out mail redirection.
Posted a letter or two.
Packed up some small stuff. My CDs and all computer peripherals are all packed.
Yah - I am bored now :)
