Makes me feel all soft and warm and fuzzy inside to know that something I created (and yes I know I misspelt it) has brought happiness to some random strangers' lives.
Or something.
I've spent all evening trying to get my sound card working. It's not happening. Keep on getting an I/O error from aplay, which occasionally plays a brief snatch of the beginning of the file (maybe 0.5secs) and then quits with the error. Only a few web sites even mention it, and none of them have a solution.
It's very possible that it could be hardware related, as the SB16 is many many years old, and hasn't worked since I reinstalled SuSE after my disk failed. Sound cards are cheap enough, right?
