I haven't done a real update in a while, I guess. Work still is sucky though the mood has changed from quietly murmuringly pessimistic to quietly but confidently optimistic. This I don't understand, but hey... gallows humour is certainly interesting.
I've been job hunting fairly seriously and have filled in two applications for Vodafone, two for the NHS, one for a local council, and have my eye on a couple of others. Vodafone (through http://www.vstaff.co.uk/) have kept one of my applications "Under review" for a little over 2wks now, so it sounds positive. That is for a position similar to my current one, and I have another application in with them for an "Assistant Coverage and Transmission Planning Engineer", which sounds fascinating to me.
The personal... I've take a break on payments from a loan for 3mths. This has made me realise how urgently I need to pay off my outstanding debts, because this month for the first one in months, if not years I have been able to do things and buy what I want without fear of overspending. I'm over half-way through the month with plenty of money to spare. Think I need to start playing the lottery, or marry a rich woman.
Enjoying my time with
pipsytip greatly. Though I truly don't want her to vanish off to deepest darkest Shropshire, I can understand only too well why she may want to do that. Improved career prospects and better money are great motivators. Hell, I'm looking at relocating to Newbury for one of my applications, the "Dudley and Beacon" region for another.
