It's snowing.
This is a bad sign. Best check my prepaid gas meter before I run out.
Car. UhOh. Let's just say it's not pretty. Renault garage said it would require a new drive shaft which frankly, is what I suspected all along but refused to believe it because I knew it would be costly. They quoted me just over £250. Ouch. Even with the balance I have on credit cards, this would be a real struggle - I've just closed one c/c account after paying it off, and reduced the limit on another.
*le sigh*
Once again, parents to the rescue. I owe them big time. The parents are going to pay for this. I just have to pay for some of the other vaguely important stuff (desperately need 2 new tyres, with the other 2 needing to be replaced sometime not to far in the future).
I've eventually closed my Northern Rock account and transferred everything to my new current account, meaning I should nowadays be able to reduce my overdraught with Barclays quite significantly, yay.
Went to see Bridgette Jones' diary last night - cinema was utterly packed to overflowing with people - we went on one of the Orange 241 nights, which was probably a bad idea but it did save a fair bit of cash for 4 of us! Enjoyed it mostly, very silly and having not seen number one properly, don't have anything to base my judgements against. Drove for bloody miles.
