Burning more Dirk Gently to CD so I can listen upstairs.
I would use the laptop however I bought a wireless AP on the understanding it would be here before I sold my old one - however Royal Mail appear to have screwed up and it isn't here, and hasn't been returned to the seller. I am back to using wires! How disturbing!
I've come to the conclusion in the last 48hrs, that recorded delivery is a big bag of shite really, when you look into it. There are NO guarantees, all you get is the standard first class service, with a signature on delivery (which they say can be done by anyone - not even the person named!) - the most you can claim is the standard £28 compensation, unless you pay extra.
Special Delivery is the way to go, as an ebay seller, I think. That way you get guaranteed delivery and ID required to get an item.
The seller has been really good about it though, and said if it is returned to them, they will dispatch the item again. I don't think it will be. I think someone in Royal Mail has disappeared it. It was posted on the 18th November, but they won't let you claim until 15 days has passed...
