Today has involved doing mystery shopping, ooooo! Been to a Halifax and Lloyds TSB branch for seperate missions which involved asking about information on new accounts. Nothing too exciting, but at a tenner each for 10minutes work and some paperwork, I ain't complaining.

It involved cleaning the car on the inside, so I now no longer feel like I'm surrounded by crap wherever I drive. I'm vaguely worried about a very low frequency noise I only hear when I'm driving at low speed (<15mph) after being on the road a long time (>1hr). Car's due an MOT and a service soon anyhow so I'll mention it at the time. Not that I have the money to get it serviced properly, mind you. Heck - I barely have the cash to tax it!

GOOD NEWS! I got a letter from the Student Loans Company today who tell me they are increasing the repayments threshold on loans from £10k to £15k! Before you paid 9% of whatever you earn over £10k (so if you earn £11k you pay 9% of 1k which is £90/year), but now you pay 9% of what you earn over £15k. I'm going to be saving about £30-40 a month with this little gem of info! That sets off my increased car insurance costs nicely. I'll have to keep a close eye on my employers though, as I don't trust them to pay me properly any more.

mmmm, chocs.com sent me a newsletter and it's so tempting. But no, Phil will be good. I already owe them for one Chocolate Tasting Club box (oh wow).

I was reading [livejournal.com profile] cynnerth's journal entry earlier about what she wrote two years ago. I looked back and found well...

I actually wrote something vaguely sensible about the whole Iraq situation developing. I can't believe it - I was only just coming off my probation at work! Feels like I've served a lifetime there - not two and a bit years :)

I also found this which I found quite amusing:

Does anyone have an agreement with PC Service Call or "PC Performance"? Have you ever tried to call them? I've been trying for a few nights now and they're absolutely ridiculous - 3 nights and I've been on hold for 20mins each time waiting to get through, then getting bored.

I've emailed them and not had a response within 48hrs. This is getting silly.
