My throat started feeling sore at work yesterday. I drank more water than I ever have done before in order to try and stave it off, stop it from getting any worse. Fah, I may as well not have bothered. Woke up this morning in real pain and when I called in sick I started off talking normally, however quickly descended into rasping.

I'm going to use the day to go and get the car MOTed. Booked it in to Stairfoot MOT centre this afternoon, I think I can use my certificate (expires today) to buy tax. *sigh* Money money money. Loads of money...

The Post Office was rammed. Looks like just about everyone in Barnsley was renewing their car tax this morning. Luckily enough, there was a manager-looking bloke wandering through the queue checking the details and scribbling something on the V11 forms to save time at the counter. He was so rushed he didn't even take a second look at the MOT certificate which expires today, phew ;)

Throat sucks. Picked up some strepsils but I don't hold out much hope for them doing anything. I might have some Covonia (?) spray which seems to kill just about everything in its 's path - but tastes FOUL and I wouldn't use it on an empty stomach - Jane did once and was sick shortly after.
