I have workity worked, sleepity slept and not much else. OK that's a little bit of a lie.

Jane arrived Friday night, which marked the start of everyone else in the world's weekend, we drank wine, ate pizza, chips and dips, and had a good night. I went to work on Saturday, leaving her to head out to Leeds and do shopping and drinking with ex-inmates *cough* sorry workmates (I hate that word).

I picked her up at about 8, a tiddly lady. Ate, watched TV, spodded and went to sleeeeep. Was utterly shattered. Sunday morning, head off at 9:30 to go to Ikea and beat the rush. Well... we certainly did that! Arrived at 10am, only to find that it didn't open until 11am. Oops. Headed to McDs for breakfast and arrived back at Ikea for 10:45, and they were allowing people in to browse.

Wandered, shopped, Jane bought her Benno CD towers (I have 2 of them and think they rock, plus they've come down in price since we were there last week). It was quiet enough, thanks be. Getting the damn things in my car was interesting, I remember last time I bought something that size I was on my own, so could put the passenger seat down, this time Jane was with me. D'oh. My back seat isn't split either, so she couldn't sit there...

They fit eventually, making an uncomfortable ride home... annoyingly enough, it was easier putting them into her car which is a good few feet shorter than mine.

We then headed out to Sheffield where I had a job to do, considered going to town but at this point we were both really tired, so came home. When we got home we tried to watch The Life Aquatic, but felt so sleepy that we went and snoozed for 2hrs.

Got up, I cooked salmon and tried to roast some sweet potatos - this for some reason failed miserably. I think maybe parboiling them first didn't help. But this is what I'd do for normal potatos! Then did custard with some reduced price apple turnovers. Yum :)

Now Jane's gone home, I'm inputting results and preparing for tomorrow, where I have a drive to South Elmsall and a phone call to do tomorrow - is that it? Very quiet month so far... only got those two and am looking forward to a pizza job at lunchtime on the 22nd August :) Could really do with some more jobs though.
