Spent the weekend at [livejournal.com profile] pipsytip's, and had a nice time. Saturday night we drank wine and watched dodgy TV, Sunday we went out to Chirk Castle and watched people from the Sealed Knot doing re-enactments and drills and executing traitors. It was _lots_ of fun! So much that I joined up as a member of the National Trust - decided that I may as well spend £17.50 on a young person's membership whilst I can (whilst I'm under 26) and make the most of it, rather than spend nearly £40 on a full membership!

Sunday night was more wine, fabulous roast dinners (I love Jane's mum's food), hugs, Morse and sleep. Blessed sleep.

By Friday I am going to have a new job, oh yes.
Well, assuming that they let me know by then.

I made a fair bit of cash last/this month from MSing so decided after throwing a load of cash at the credit cards, to buy myself a new bicycle.

Yay for bikes. Just need to get a new helmet now...

I live in a 2-up, 2-down terrace. I don't have a huge amount of space. My 'stuff' fits in fine, but this bike is refusing to fit in any of the remaining nooks and crannies. It won't go in the pantry (well, the empty box storage room) because the freezer's blocking the entry enough to ensure there's no bike-friendly space. I am NOT moving the freezer again - I've re-arranged that kitchen more often than I care to think of and it's an utter PITA to move. I ain't taking it upstairs because well, it's not small! I should probably add that my garden doesn't have a shed. I might end up covering it with sheeting to keep it dry and then locking it to the drainpipes :)

So right now, it's in the living room. Classy.

Looking forward to having the chance to use it. I went on a ride around the block earlier and discovered that they appear to have started to make saddles out of granite. Ouch. Either that, or my bum's become far too used to those cushy seats they have on the gym bikes.
