Jane came up Friday, we watched TV and spodded and relaxed. Nibbled.
Saturday we went to York. Thought about trying to meet up with various people but we didn't finish doing what we were doing until gone 5 and we wanted to get to the Sheffield UGC/Cineworld to get Jane an Unlimited card - on the 3rd attempt so left at a half-decent time. Besides, we ran into Jane's friend Catherine and her bloke in town completely at random - we could have walked round for hours and never ever seen them if we were actually looking for them!

We looked around the HUGE Tesco in York which we both bought most of our Christmas presents from last year, and found nothing. Discussed what to eat when I remembered that I had an Old El Pase dinner kit thingie from ages back, so bought chicken, sour cream and guacamole and made scrummy fajias before running to the cinema.

Jane got annoyed by the man at the UGC - not by something he did but by the fact that he told us for definite that photo ID was NOT necessary for the unlimited card and she'd previously been told it was, by the nasty nasty gits at the Chester branch. We went to see The Constant Gardener. Yeah. Astounding film. Not entirely sure whether it was enjoyable because lots of it is very uncomfortable - intentionally so.

A good political thriller. With a message which may or may not have relevance in the real world. It's a powerful drama with a storyline based around an international conspiracy involving the governments of two countries and a pharmaceutical company, testing a new drug on the population of insert African country here which isn't uhhm... 100% right. Involving murder most foul of a loved one, a friend, hit men, emotion, flashbacks to good times, betrayal, unrequited love and foolish government ministers.

I think that about covers it.

Sunday, sleep late. Work :( went quickly today - dead up util about 1830-1900, when it suddenly went a bit mental and didn't get any availability until 2115. This is pretty much perfect as after-tea is the time when boredom tends to kick in really badly. Being busy fends this off nicely.

Work at 9am tomorrow. Ick. Have a Gap job to do at 0800 tomorrow! I must be insane. A drive-through breakfast is probably about enough to make me ill!

I've been to the gym swimming but not to the cardio suite for a looooooong time. It's been over a month. The past month has been a tough one, which I didn't actually realise until a few days ago. Really difficult for me. Not quite sure how I managed to have a hard time without realising it but compared to how I felt a week ago, 2 weeks ago, I've been positively beaming today.

So - yeah, it all went OK, and Fran managed to prod and cajole me into getting a review/reassessment done, which is Wednesday evening's joyous task. Am now feeling slightly achey and tomorrow know will feel sore.

Tomorrow - Sprotborough and Worsborough in the morning, and Sheffield in the evening. Mmmmmm pizza. Looking forward to the pizza - haven't been to this chain in ages, and you get a really good spend, especially as a 'lone diner'!
