Unfortunately it does make me look like I'm back at work, but the earphones are astounding - so clear!

Picked up some more work for Friday - am going to be doing something on public transport in Manchester - 6 hours worth of it, though at a really decent hourly rate (>£10 an hour). Yes it's in Manchester but I've combined this with some other work on the way there, and I can't complain too much if I'm getting paid mileage.

Unfortunately I still don't know exactly what I'm doing, I'll find out on Friday morning! Will email the person involved and ask them if they can email me any info. OK, done - with a plethora of questions.

Playing nethack. It's slightly more addictive than I expected! Wonder if you can get it for Windows Mobile? :))) Have to look and stick it on the MDA Pro/Compact at work.

Christmas period will look like this:
Evening of 22nd to 25th - Off work, whoohoo! Going to Jane's sometime.
25th - Work, late shift. Start at 1330, finish at 2200. Hope to have a picnic/party/pissup :)
26th - Work, 9-5. The off work until the 1st!!!!! Possibly see Ruth and John in the evening - whoohoo!
27th through 30th or 31st - London. Whilst the parents are away, Phils shall nick their house and have a great time.
31st, evening of - Northampton. New year's partay.
1st - Work. Late shift. Expect to see many painkillers being taken.

And I've learnt something very funny.
Well, very sensible.

In Welsh, the word for "Ironing" is "smoothio".

Fantastic.
I'm guessing the liberal application of the majority of a bottle of wine has assisted with this being so funny, but my oh my! Gotta love the Welsh.
