3am has rolled around, so naturally Phil must be up and not in the slightest tired, right?

This weekend has been Jane-filled, from her arrival on Friday evening to her Departure this evening. We consumed wine, we ate great Indian food, we slept lots, we saw Ruth and John, and we went to see "Snakes........ On a Plane".

In order:

• Wine: not so good
• Indian food: really good
• Sleep: good, must have been needed
• Ruth and John: Great :)
• Snakes....... on a plane: Not so good. Cheese filled feta covered Gorgonzola fest from hell. Not quite sure why, as I knew exactly what I was letting myself in for, but damnit I wanna see "A Scanner Darkly", which is out but the cinemas round here are incredibly slow. I think I was sulking in protest.

So tonight I have been setting up a VPN, well... maybe. The experiment tomorrow is to see if it works! I don't have 2 PCs at home any more so setting up things like this isn't as easy - or at least testing them isn't. I don't have a particular reason, I just thought it'd be nifty.

I've gotten absolutely nowhere with thinking about my mini-project. I think I'll start writing things down. It's the only way I'm going to get anywhere with it. I can think and think and think to my heart's content.

Thursday I'm off down to Shropshire to see the lady again, and then on Friday we're off to the sarf. Hurrah. Or something. I'm kinda looking forward to it, but also not.

I think there's lightening outside. I can't quite tell if it's my eyes playing tricks on me, the TV flashing or actually lightening. I can't hear anything thunder-like, but it's raining and there's a pleasant breeze coming in....

I'm quite pleased - it only took me about 30minutes to knock up a linked list using "item" classes, though I spent an age trying to modify it for use in a "queue" class, before giving up.

I've just showered, and boy do I feel better. Time for breakfast. Work is going to be hell. Oh yes.
