Car's in for it's MOT today. Only about a month and a half late. Well they don't send you reminders for the MOT do they? Bloody annoying if you ask me. And since when has an MOT cost £50.35? *grumbles* The cost of just owning a car to keep on the street and not ever be moved is now hovering somewhere around the £200 mark. I won't even get onto the cost of petrol... £1.03/litre round my way. That's UKP£3.90/US gallon (based on 3.79 UK litres to a US gallon) which works out to ohhhh.. ~USD$7.80/US gallon (based on roughly 2USD to 1UKP). According to this MSN-based website the highest gas prices around are USD$4.10/US gallon!
I've been practising today with the organ. My sight-reading has improved immeasurably since I started playing about recently. I'm surprised in a way but in another, not at all. It's like anything - if you don't use the skill, you lose it.
I had a discussion with someone last night from NES about this position. Now I know the job title is "helpdesk support" so it would mean contact with customers which I was complaining about in my earlier posts - but that isn't necessarily a problem, it all depends on the context.
This is for a company of ~12 people, called BookSolve, whom I've never heard of but I am working for a company nobody's ever heard of so am used to that. They're also based just outside of Chester, which is a good thing as I see it!
So yes, job-hunting sucks.
