Yesterday Jane and I made cookies, and they were remarkably smart(ie).  We'd been to Woolworth's in town and they were selling tubes of Smarties for 15p each.  Whoohooo indeed!

Below are the results.  About 45 orbs of loveliness.  Not bad going, considering that Nigella's web-site claimed that it would make 65, and some of ours are a little lager than she said.

Being here without a Jane is bad news for me - it appears that I have become reliant on someone else around to regulate my routine!  I can't think of a single other good reason to be up until 2am "just because"... never mind that it's been a while since I've done it.

I say "just because", but actually I've spent the evening making video streaming to the Wii work, and as a sidenote making media stream to my mobile device.  Not over GPRS - I'm not that hopeful, but over wi-fi it works fine.

I was considering setting up BBC shoutcast streaming as per this enormous post - there's a shoutcast media player available for the Wii and at the moment the BBC only stream Realplayer format, which can't play on the Wii.
