pmsumner at 10:02pm on 26/06/2002I had a couple of really challenging calls through today, yay! Someone came through (*bing* New User *bing bing*) with a bill query, international roaming (it's a hell of a subject, too bloody complicated to even think about, and a lot of material which was largely skipped over) charges appeared to be wrong on his bill. It's not like we're talking a small amount of money, either - the total bill for the month was valued at around £130. I spent nearly 30 minutes working on that in conjunction with a Billing Wizard and one of the floorwalkers, getting a call trace done so I could get more info, before eventually sending a followup to have the bill recalculated. Something weird went very wrong there.
Also, I had someone else come through (*bing* High Value Customer *bing bing*) who (bless him) just couldn't make himself understood. The problem was that because I could only catch occasional words of what he was saying, I was having to guess and repeat back to him what I thought he meant. This led to a 15 minute call, of which I probably understood about 2 minutes of it, and he probably understood even less. Even now I don't quite know...
Anything else? Oh probably. I feel like utter utter pants. Trying to sleep. Trying. I always said to people that 9-5 would kill me...
Currently using WinMX (http://www.winmx.com) as an Audiogalaxy replacement. Let's see how long this one lasts then, shall we? As a test, I am downloading "A Little Bit More" (or "Just a little") by Liberty X, because hell - it's a damn good tune! (Cheesy too, I know I know...)
Next on my big list of music to download? Everything...
I have a T68! Oh joy! It's so cuuuuuutttte! It's about the same size as a 3310 (mebbe a bit smaller) and by GOD it's less than half the weight. It's making the Nokias seem like bricks. It has a full colour screen, Bluetooth, WAP, GPRS, cool games (Othello!!!!), an Organiser, IR... everything - oh, and you can even make calls on it. Ooooo!)
Best thing though? When you leave it alone for a while, the screen blanks out and just displays a big digital clock - how utterly fabulously useful is that?
(Yeah, it's just a phone... but it's a damn cool phone)
