I should be asleep, but I can't. I've just sat up watching Glastonbury reruns, and have decided that since seeing Doves play in Manchester at Radio 1 Live (2 years ago now? 3 years maybe...) and thinking they were fairly average, they have definitely improved a hell of a lot. After seeing that performance, I would seriously consider going out and buying at least one of their albums now (if I hadn't already spent £50 on music this month).
Also Idlewild, my respect for has greatened. I always like it when I see a band putting on a good live performance. It somehow means so much more to me, for a band to be able to pull out a good tune 'in the wild' than it does to put on a good performance in the studio. The oddest thing about it is, I've only ever been to three live concerts in my life. Two of them when I was a wee kid (Gary Glitter (yeah) and Simply Red, who put on a fabulous show), and the third was that Radio 1 Live thing, and the only bands I remember from it are All Saints (remember they had to stop their set because some idiot was climbing the framework) and Doves.
I actually came on here to download music, but kinda forgot. Maybe I should go back to bed. I'm delivering a washing machine for Luce tomorrow. Should be interesting.
