Today has been "a good day", I do believe. Met mum at Ikea and got lunch, wandered and bought very little. Only got a bigger percolator (the one I have does an espresso cup but I will drink several of those and it's a pain if you want to do more than one cup). £8 or thereabouts. Then went to the Braehead shopping centre and got a drink at Costa(lot) Coffee. Came home. Played Playstation. Medal of Honour - this is a fantastic game. How come I only just found out about it?

Frasier was good tonight, a bit more slapstick than I like in general, but very well put together. I'm still unsure whether I think they should can the show or carry on, as it's been going forever now. There's not a huge amount of play left in the relationships between the key players (Frasier, Niles, Daphne and Martin) without some massive changes.

I was looking at notebook/portable computers at PC World today. Quite cheap if you take them out on credit. Could end up with one paying £28/mo or thereabouts over 3yrs. I'd love one - really - but I can't justify it. I can't come up with a single reason that me having a laptop would improve my life, help me with my work, and so on. I want to experiment with FireWire or wireless LAN technology (maybe see if I can share my cable connection with neighbours!), but I can do that with a cheap second computer. I've looked at Apple Macs in the past, but it really comes down to "why should I bother with a Mac?".

*recompiles gAIM* I've only recently discovered the beauty of CVS and nightly updates :)
