Do you realise, that this is STILL ongoing?
Thanks to some very threatening letters from Scottish Power I really have had no choice but to pay them some of my balance. ARGH! And the lass had the nerve to tell me that there would be another bill sent to me on the 10th June! WTF? I understand what they're saying, that they're my suppliers, but for Pete's sake.
I've decided to end the whole thing, and have admitted defeat. I've written once again to Powergen and asked them to close my account with them. I have cancelled the direct debit and demanded repayment in full of all monies paid to them. It's the only way I'm going to get out of paying twice.
*sighs*
Well, hopefully that means £114 back in my pocket rather than in Powergen's. Let's see how long they can drag their feet over this. I don't want to have to get OF whatever they are... http://www.ofgem.gov.uk/ofgem/index.jsp) involved. I know from personal experience what a pain in the arse the regulators can be.
Update: I've put in a complaint with Energywatch (http://www.energywatch.org.uk/) who are apparently the people to trust? News to me!
