nakedsockpuppet for reminding me that Miles Davis exists.
It's remarkable, watching this bloke talking about how he caused himself to become backrupt, what he goes through daily because of it, and the ridiculousness of it all. The legal proceedings, the discussions, the negotiations with creditors.
What I found most ridiculous about everything?
Because he's making this film for the BBC, and getting paid for it, he had to sign off and could no longer claim unemployment benefit. And he calculaed how much worse off he was doing the work, rather than being on the dole. It was a stunning amount, mainly because when you lose your benefits, you lose your protection from things like council tax.
I was certain there was something else I wanted to watch after this....
