I'm currently a little unhappy.
My car, my pride and joy (well, not quite, but I may as well ham this up as best I can), my little cage of metal and plastic... is sick.
Not very sick, mind you.
Sick enough that I can't practically drive any distance.
Guess what's wrong.
Go on.
It's something _tiny_ that you wouldn't think would affect the car's drivability.
My windscreen wiper system has stopped working. Great. Dead as a Dodo. As is the heater/blower thingie which isn't really a _bad_ thing. And no, I'm not daft enough not have to checked the fuses :) They're all fine. I've even swapped the wiper fuses with a known to be working fuse. I suspect that it's the relay, but I have no tools to remove the fuse box and test it. I mean, I have checked the wiring diagrams and there are only two things that can possibly go wrong in this system - the fuses, the relays and the motor. However, the coincidence of the fans and wipers going at the same time is too great for it to be a fuse, and the blower doesn't use a relay.
I am currently awaiting a phone call from my parents, specifically my dad. I left a message on their answering machine asking them to call me back, but they could be anywhere. If my dad can come over here tomorrow (I would drive it over there but what happens if it starts raining hard?), it will be interesting to see if he could fix it. If he can't, I have it booked into "The Garage" on Monday morning. As recommended by someone at Kwik-Fit.
Bloody Cars.
I wouldn't be so annoyed if it were something big, like the engine - or brakes. To have a trip down south possibly disturbed by something as daft as this is frustrating.
