I think I may have a problem.
No, I'm not an alcoholic, not yet anyhow.
As I wrote yesterday I think, I took a cheque to the bank to deposit. Normally when a cheque is deposited in my account it shows up immediately (if they process it straight away) or by the end of the day (if they're busy and process it after closing). Barclays are good like this, because they allow you to draw on uncleared cheques. It's been 30hrs now and no sign of it yet on the online banking. I called up the phone banking and some random person who was very nice, said they would keep an eye on it... nothing back yet :(
Anyhow. I spent the entire day stressing because I couldn't find the receipt ANYWHERE. I even cleaned the car out, that's how desperate I was to find it ;) Where d'ya think I found it?
*Hangs head with shame*
It was in my wallet.
I don't put things like that in my wallet, I keep them seperate from cash because in instances like this, I don't want them to have been pinched. So I didn't even think of looking in there. *sigh* I think I've lost my marbles.
The problem I have now, is that it's the weekend. I have two parcels to post and I'm not even going to be able to get this investigated until Monday. I have NO money, as in the cash machines will refuse to spit it out to me. Could always use cheques, I guess. But then I run the risk of getting charged if I go over my limit.
I will call them again tonight, explain the situation and ask them (in a polite but firm tone) to help out. After all, this is their fault :)
