Pilot light for the boiler went out sometime in the last 3 days, I've been out the house pretty much permanently since Thursday. Now I can't get it back on. I know I am doing it right but damnit. I can't even smell gas when I press the button thingie.

This is generally bad news, however when you have a letting agency who don't even leave an answering machine on, and don't appear to have any kind of emergency contact, this means you are spending a night cold and smelly, with no chance of hot water before the morning.

Grrrrrrrrr. I am going to have to have words with Jubb & Co about their out of hours support, because right now it appears to be "well.... you'll get by, right?".
