Proxying means that all the stuff previously downloaded is still stored in laptop's cache, and doesn't need to be downloaded again, so will fire through 60% if the install in record time.

I initially tried to do an update through floppies. I think that was my error. It all went horribly wrong there. Not sure what happened but after I tried booting from the drive went tits up. I'm assuming it's coincidental...

Bottle of wine's empty. Tempted to drink good stuff but wouldn't apreciate it. Will await tomorrow. Requires something special to open wine more expensive than a fiver :)
