Yes this is sad. BUT - I've learnt how to do two very cool things tonight. Cool thing one: I can make my own daemon. Cool thing two: re-learning how to do IP servers. The last time I did this was when I was in uni, and frankly I never actually did that by myself...
OK so I've got a long way to go from "echo" server to web server, but I reckon the steps are smaller than I expect.
