Everybody say "Hi" to my new spod machine - the `shiney Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M1405.
I was happy to find that Mastercare had given me £698 in voichers to spend, plus some extra to use on insurance as I'd only gone through about half the term of the original policy, worth about £140. When I talked to the dude there he mentioned that I could use the insurance side towards the laptop as they don't do insurance like that any more! WHOOHOO!
I made my choice based on having £799 to spend, wanting nothing but built in wireless and a widescreen display. I ended up with a Intel Pentium M 1.7GHz with 512MB of RAM, 40Gb hard drive, DVD+-RW drive, nice clear, huge, widescreen display... What else could a boy want? OH - at least 4hrs battery life! With the extra cash left over I got a laptop bag in a rucksack stylee (is a little more secure - not so obviously a laptop). Oh, it's also got a shiny silver lid *G*
I had a couple of quid left over so put it towards buying "Medeival - Total War" and "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" - both very addictive :)
I'm very very happy with the new beast. Mainly the ability to spod with NO wires, and nothing sticking out.
