So... Jane's moving most of her stuff down south this coming weekend, giving notice at work today (probably... oh to have a week's notice period would be heavenly) and starting down in Shropshire probably on the 4th July. Kinda quick, really.

I still think she's insane going to live with her parents :)

We had a good weekend down south. She's had chicken pox and a bad stomach after coming back from Egypt, so we didn't do anything mighty exciting. Spent some time in Shrewsbury and on the way back on Monday we decided to stop in Chester. Spent a fortune, darnit. I wasn't going to buy anything much other than lunch for me (Jane's not eating much), but ended up buying myself a new chef's knife. It called out to me from the wall of the Thomas Williams and I couldn't say no.

Drove back to Jane's and started tidying. We filled 4 bin bags without even blinking. One day I'm going to understand how that woman can be so damned untidy and not seem to care about it. I'm not the tidiest person in the world but it bothers me quite considerably if I find my house to be beyond the point where I'd be happy to show people it! Anyway... we did lots of packing, tidying, and went to the local Wetherspods for tea. Awww, domestic bliss? :)

I'm currently looking for work in the same area. I guess it's a good thing - previously I'd be asked "are you looking at anywhere in particular" and I'd say "No, I'll work anywhere". This means I now have somewhere specific to look! The problem I have with job searching in that area is well... where exactly IS Shrewsbury? It's not the North West, it's technically the midlands, but any job search for the midlands throws up a million and one Birmingham jobs.

I'll get there in the end :) No doubt just as she's moving somewhere else!
