Wow, I went to do a GapBurger, and the Asda it's next to - the idiots were queuing for petrol for a good 15minutes. I then went to Morrisons to get my car washed (it was filthy), and had to fight to get past people who were waiting for petrol. Again, waiting a good 10minutes to fill up.

And the news reports claim that there's "no panic buying"? Yeah right.

Picked up 4 cool things today. A 2 DVD box set of Andromeda (season 1, part 1) for £2.97! CD single of Gorilla'z "Dare" for £1.97, Kaiser Chiefs' "Unemployment" and Goldfrapp's "Supernature". None of which I have listened to yet, though *loads up CD player*... I love Dare so much :)

Listening to Goldfrapp's album now. Of course, we all know Ooh La La as it's all over the radio (it's on Radio 1's A-list, not always a good thing). I was very concerned when I first heard that song, that this was the commercialisation of Goldfrapp. I found Black Cherry was a very hard album to listen to at first - jarring and unconventional. Felt Mountain was much of the same. Then Ooh La La comes along with it's Doctor and the Medics "Spirit in the Sky" undertones, fairly simple poppy sounds and lyrics. I'm pleased, having listened to at least some of the other tracks, that there's still the underlying sexyness, the implied naughtiness in the sounds and lyrics (or is that just me?), and a complexity to the sound.

Yes, I like this. Will take a while to get used to it I think, as it's very different from previous albums. I'm sure I'll like it just as much :)
