House - check. The visible bits are clean and tidy. The heat is on and it's feeling slightly warmer than it did an hour ago.
Food - check. There is food on to cook and if it's not wanted, I'll eat it tomorrow and freeze some.
Packing - *buzzer*. None.
People - check. In theory, Ruth and John should be here any moment. They set off from Sale at 1800, I personally can do the journey from there to here in an hour, maybe just over. It's an hour from the start of the M67.
Notice of Intended Prosecution - check. Sent back. Well within time to meet the 28 day deadline, assuming mail delivery isn't at stupid levels of slowness.
Paperwork - *even louder buzzer sounds*. See that pile over there? The one threatening to engulf the room?
Laundry - check. On, one load just finished. Best get it out and stick the bits on the radiators.
