At work, we were dragged off to Newcastle today for an inspirational show, or brainwashing session.
It was OK, though possibly nothing was actually said that we haven't heard before at previous similar sessions. It was good that we were invited, as TSC aren't usually invited to these events. It was quite cool, a well produced show and very professional! The actual content wasn't so hot, but the actress playing Abi was hot! So what else matters?
Anyhow, we set off about 12:30, got to Newcastle after what felt like forever, but probably only 2 and a half hours. I spent the journey chatting with Kelly, a new member of our team. Learnt lots about her, including that I think she's mad.
During the show we were split into teams and asked to do some stuff about identifying customers' needs. There were winners chosen from the teams, and the winners were given a new Sony Ericsson K608i. Unfortunately, our team didn't win though I suspect ours was the best :) What bugs me slightly is that whilst we'd made an effort to split up and not stay stuck within our own team, and mingled with the Doxford guys who were there - the entire team that won was TSC/Tech 2, bar one person I think. Bah.
What makes it worse is that I've been seriously considering upgrading to a K608i for months now :) Now if I do so I'll just look like a copycat! *G*
