They were ace, awesome, incredible, brilliant, showy, glittery, spangly, over the top, just wow :)
I can't remember writing about this, but last time I was down south I saw in Time Out that there was a SS gig at Trafalgar Square and to text to get a chance of winning tickets, and I got some, yay. So we made a special trip to see them. Turned up about 7pm and it was already really crowded. We ended up about 10 mtrs in front of Nelson's Column, and the stage was in front of the art gallery so we were a fair distance off. There were good screens up at least, so when tall people got in the way (grr) we could still see.
The Sisters were introduced by the world's sexiest tiny Australian, and they were off. An hour and a half of campness - both old and new including the new single, Take your Mama, Mary, Laura, Filthy Gorgeous (closing), Comfortably Numb, a New Orleans tribute...
Finished at 10:00, a good hour and a half of music from them. Good night.
Way too tired to be writing this.
