pmsumner at 07:12pm on 15/02/2007I received a letter dated 14th Feb, demanding that I pay my outstanding rent. Now... I may be skint. I may have no money spare for anything other than farting, but damnit I have NEVER missed a rent payment, and haven't missed any other payments that I am commited to in the last 3 years or more. The car, clothing, food, the rest can go to hell but financial commitments are commitments.
I just checked my bank account and oddly enough, it appears that the rent went out of my bank account on the 5th February, the same it has done every month for the past 9 months. Even accounting for a pathetic 5 day transfer time, which shouldn't happen with BACS (3 days max), they would have had it on the 12th.
I am not the slightest bit impressed. I think the letter ref probably says it all:
