pmsumner at 09:47pm on 27/04/2009My parents are leaving London. My dad's coming to the end of his time with the navy and is being forcibly retired at some point. This means they will lose their lovely Notting Hill-based flat.
This saddens me on so many levels.
They have bought a house in Chippenham. A new build, 3 bed house. Looks nice enough, there's a walkthrough on the web somewhere I've poked at and it all seems perfectly pleasant. Presumably they're going there as there's lots of defence contractors nearby (Bath/Bristol), but I don't know for sure yet as I haven't really spoken to them about it, keeping it for when we visit.
Chippenham may be perfectly nice, but it's SO not as convenient for shows :)
