Taxi Companies....

Trident Taxis. Let's just face it. The driver that I had arranged for me tonight was a moron. I ordered a taxi at 2300 for "as soon as possible" to get to the train station, which is either 20mins walk or 3mins drive away. The lass quotes me 5 minutes.

15 minutes later I am still stood there, listening to my train rolling in. (Clear still night, and you can ehar the trains from miles away.) Call up the taxi company and say "may as well cancel the taxi", only to be told that they couldn't find my house. Reasons why this is idiotic:
  • I was stood outside my house the whole time
  • My house number is "one", how hard can it be?
*sighs* Morons!

I really fancied seeing Luce tonight as well :(

I just don't understand... I really don't. I know our houses don't have obvious house numbers on them, but really. *sighs*

Heh, you're lucky you could even get a taxi to consider bringing you that short distance. I've never been able to.

*smiles* It's how they do their business round here - lots of short trips with an absurdly high minimum fare. I woulda walked it if I'd have known I was going to be going before I did, but I "couldn't risk missing it", knowing how far away it was.
