Partly because I don't know what I want to whinge about. Partly because there is nobody to whinge at, and thirdly because I would feel bad for doing it.

I think it is *definitely* an insult. He still thinks it's just a word meaning "a young woman".

When I was in Egypt, the word "bint" was used to mean young woman, daughter, the Arabic has obviously been adopted over here, much the same as many other words. I do tend to agree though, it's not used in the nicest of ways here. It's usually used with some derogatory conatation. Just my two-penneth
