So, I can connect, I can initiate a connection, I can ping and receive ping replies, I can resolve hostnames. But I can't get a decent traceroute or actually negotiate a session...

As an update - I'm not entirely sure whether this was due to me playing with my settings or Chalkface being pap, or some router somewhere not liking my packets. Even weirder, it happenned mid-dial-up session, so I don't know... feh.
