Not good! No, not the amount. My deal with Barclaycard to pay £15 a month is still in effect. If push comes to shove I can find that somewhere, by cutting grass if I have to. But I noted that I had a "late payment" charge on there for last month, and apparently I owed them £60 for this month, which includes this month's minimum and last month's payment!
My expression must have been something like - you think what? I wish they could have seen it...
So I called them up first time and explained, went through the security checks and my situation, and was told "hmm, there's nothing on your account file that explains you are to make reduced payments, call our Kirby office". I had an 0151 number written down that I assumed was them, because I called them not too long back, and called it.
Who do you think answered the phone? Not Barclaycard, ofc, but Rach. Oops! Bit of a mistake there *coughs* So she was very surprised to have a very surprised and confused Phil on the other end of the phone trying to tell her my financial situation details, *rofl*. What an idiot.
Anyhow, to cut it short-ish, it's sorted. They refunded the fee, and I shouldn't have incurred any interest charges on that. Unfortunately, the payments I'm making aren't even covering the interest right now, so I am a little messed on that front. *sighs*
Rachel's so lovely :) I really wish I wasn't so far away from her, especially. It's going to get trickier soon, with Caroline and Andrew almost certainly moving to Newcastle, and Rach going to Nottingham. They are essentially the only two people I care about enough to worry about seeing them regularly, and right now I can do them both in one trip (Manchester and Liverpool are only an hour apart). Newcastle->Notts is a little different. Have to work something out soon!
I just want to try and help her be as happy as possible, and I can't do that from here, damnit!
I told you I'd get round to reading this eventually
You'll have a job by then, and that could be anywhere (oh - btw - california?!!) so don't moan at me for moving!
Love you, sweets...

Re: I told you I'd get round to reading this eventually
I was actually looking into a job in Nott'm today - unfortunately it wasn't particularly suitable, but I considered applying for it anyway :-)
*megaSquishyHugs* to you.
